The Senior Financial Analyst will support North America (NA) commercial revenue and expense consolidation across Therapeutic Areas (TAs). This includes supporting the forecast and long range planning across the NA FP&A team and pulling together a holistic view of revenues, investments and growth drivers across TAs. This position reports to the Associate Director of NA Consolidations.
She/He will also partner and manage the expense budgets for the VP of Commercial Operations and the VP of Managed Markets. This role will work with these teams to analyze budget requests and tradeoffs to optimize value to the organization. Success in this role will require the ability to cultivate an effective business partnership between the Commercial functional areas and Finance. Essential Duties & Job Functions Responsibilities include: • Consolidate the 3 year long rang plan and annual operational forecasts for the NA Commercial teams. Analyze resourcing across TAs and develop recommendations on how to realign investment across our portfolio to support top line growth. • Consolidate the monthly and quarterly close process, including management reporting and budget vs. actual variance analysis. Report results to the Worldwide Commercial Finance team. • Recommend process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our reporting and analysis. Develop subject matter expertise on financial systems and processes. Develop new reporting capabilities to monitor key performance metrics. • Manage the Commercial Operations and Managed Markets budgets. Partner with the business to support their 3 year and annual planning processes, monthly close processes, and management reporting. Work with the Commercial Operations and Managed Markets teams to provide analytical support for tactical and strategic decisions. • Provide ad-hoc analyses and project support for the finance leadership team. Knowledge, Experience, & Skills
The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years experience, having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility. A BS or BA is required and an MBA or CPA is preferred
Prior experience in bio-tech or pharma is preferred.
In-depth proficiency in aspects of accounting and finance and knowledge of US GAAP is required. In depth knowledge of US Healthcare Systems, Business Intelligence, Planning and ERP systems is required with proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Experience in high-growth, multi-national organization a plus.
